It is always preferable if patients can try to come to the surgery where the best facilities are available.
If you are housebound or are too ill to attend surgery. Requests should be made before 10.30am if possible to enable the doctor to plan their visits.
Remember that several patients can be seen at the surgery in the time that it takes to do a home visit a doctor can see five patients in surgery during the time it takes to do one visit.
Home visits are normally carried out after morning surgery has finished.
